What Is JHSC Part 2 Certification Training?
JHSC Part 2 Certification Training is the second and final step in Ontario’s JHSC certification process. It builds on Part 1 by focusing on industry-specific workplace hazards and practical hazard control strategies.
You’ll learn how to:
- Assess and prioritize risks
- Identify hazards specific to your workplace and industry
- Recommend effective control measures
- Conduct better inspections and incident investigations
After successfully completing both Part 1 and Part 2, you become a fully certified JHSC member.

Who Must Take JHSC Part 2 Training?
Part 2 training is required for:
Worker representatives who have completed JHSC Part 1
Management representatives pursuing certification
Organizations seeking compliance with Ontario JHSC certification requirements
Certified members who need to complete their certification pathway
Important: Participants must complete Part 1 before enrolling in Part 2. New to certification? Start with our JHSC Part 1 Training and complete the prerequisite requirements before registering for Part 2.

JHSC Part 2 Must Be Completed Within 12 Months
Ontario certification requirements state that JHSC members must successfully complete Part 2 training within one year (12 months) of completing Part 1.
Failing to complete Part 2 within the required timeframe may impact certification status and require additional steps to regain compliance.
