A Safety Milestone Built on Commitment: M Builds Achieves COR® Certification

M Builds (NWO) Limited Partnership has achieved its Certificate of Recognition (COR®), earning an impressive 93% external audit score and marking an important milestone in the company’s health and safety journey.

For M Builds, COR® certification was not only about completing an audit. It was about strengthening internal systems, reinforcing accountability, and continuing to build a safety culture that supports its people, projects, and long-term growth.

A Journey of Safety, Structure, and Commitment

M Builds began its COR® journey with 4S Consulting in September 2023. Like many organizations working toward certification, the process required time, coordination, documentation, and sustained internal commitment.

During implementation, the company experienced a transition in its Internal Auditor role, which created some early challenges. However, the team stayed focused on the goal. When Bhanu joined M Builds as Health and Safety Coordinator at the end of November 2024, the process regained momentum.

With support from leadership and strong internal follow-through, M Builds completed its COR® Internal Audit in October 2025, followed by its COR® External Audit in early June 2026. On June 25, 2026, M Builds officially achieved COR® certification with a 93% external audit score.

“Achieving COR® certification is an important milestone for M Builds. It reflects the commitment of our team and the value we place in building safety into the way we plan and deliver our work. The process required focus and discipline, and we are proud of what the team accomplished.”

– Peter Belluz, Lead Contact and Principal

Turning Requirements into a Working System

COR® certification requires more than policies and paperwork. It asks organizations to demonstrate that their health and safety management system is understood, documented, implemented, and continuously maintained.

Throughout the journey, M Builds worked to strengthen documentation, prepare for audit requirements, and align internal processes with COR® expectations. This required collaboration across roles and a clear understanding that safety is not the responsibility of one person alone.

4S Consulting supported the process by helping the team interpret COR® requirements, organize next steps, and prepare for audit readiness in a structured way.

“When I joined M Builds, there was already a strong commitment to completing the COR® journey. My focus was to help organize the process, maintain momentum, and ensure we were prepared. Having knowledgeable support from 4S Consulting helped us stay clear on expectations and move through the process with more confidence.”

– Bhanu Bhanu, Health and Safety Coordinator

Better Visibility and Documentation

As the COR® journey progressed, maintaining organized records and follow-up became an important part of the process. For construction organizations, safety documentation can
quickly become complex, especially when managing training, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and audit evidence.

Digital tools such as 4SafeCom™ can support this process by helping teams keep safety information more centralized, visible, and easier to review. If used as part of a COR® journey, this kind of visibility can make it easier to track training, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, documentation, and audit evidence.

“Having better visibility over safety records, documentation, and follow-up items made the process easier to manage. Tools such as 4SafeCom™ helped support organization and tracking as we moved through the COR® process.”

Why COR® Matters

For construction companies, COR® certification can support both safety and business performance. It helps organizations build stronger health and safety systems, improve due diligence, demonstrate accountability, and prepare for project prequalification requirements.

More importantly, COR® provides a framework for making safety more consistent across projects, teams, and worksites. M Builds’ achievement shows that COR® is not simply a certificate. It is a structured process that helps organizations review how safety is managed, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen the systems that protect workers and support project delivery.

Celebrating the Achievement

4S Consulting congratulates M Builds (NWO) Limited Partnership, Peter Belluz, Bhanu Bhanu, and the broader M Builds team on achieving COR® certification with a 93% external
audit score.

This milestone reflects the company’s persistence, leadership commitment, and positive
approach to workplace health and safety.

For construction organizations considering COR® certification, M Builds’ journey is a strong reminder that certification is achievable when the process is approached with commitment, structure, and the right support.
