Course Description
Exposure to asbestos can cause a number of diseases that are often not immediately apparent, but can severely damage the respiratory system over many years. Workers working in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and demolition must be aware of the potential exposure to asbestos-containing materials. This course is designed to provide a general awareness of identifying asbestos-containing material, the associated hazards, health effects, and safe work practices to follow when working with asbestos-containing material to reduce the risk of developing asbestos-related diseases.
