Working at Heights (CPO-approved)
Blended Training – 3.5 Hrs Theory (e-Learning) & 3.5 Hours Practical (in-class)
As of April 1, 2015, Ontario employers must ensure that workers on construction projects using fall protection methods successfully complete ‘working at heights’ training approved by the Chief Prevention Officer (CPO). The training requirement is for workers on construction projects who use any of the following methods of fall protection:
- Travel restraint systems
- Fall restricting & arrest systems
- Safety nets
- Work belts or safety belts
Working at Heights Refresher Training (CPO-approved)
Classroom Training – 3.5 Hrs Practical
Working at heights refresher training is the practical module of the working at heights training program (section 9.2 of the Working at Heights Training Program Standard). The minimum duration of the refresher training is three-and-a-half (3.5) hours of training delivery.
The practical module covers the following topics:
- Barriers and safety nets.
- Personal fall protection equipment.
- Anchor points.
- Work positioning systems, work access and platforms.
- Rescue planning.

If you’re looking for public session, please fill out the following online form below to purchase your training. For WAH Full Certification, we will email you the access to the Theory e-Learning within 24-48 hrs of payment receipt. You must complete the Theory e-Learning module prior to attending one of the in-class Practical training sessions listed below to receive your certification.
For Refresher Training, you only need to complete the in-class Practical training.
